Celebrating our country can be done in so many fun ways! Different families have different traditions, but there are some classic activities that almost everyone enjoys. Here are a few of my favorites:

  1. Fireworks- One of the most popular Fourth of July activities has to be watching fireworks. There are usually several public displays in most towns, so all you have to do is find a good spot and enjoy the show!
  2. Picnics- Another classic activity is packing up a picnic and heading to a nearby park or beach to enjoy time with family and friends. Make sure to pack some patriotic snacks like American flag fruit kabobs!
  3. Barbecues- A barbecue is the perfect way to celebrate the Fourth of July! Invite friends and family over, fire up the grill, and enjoy some delicious food in the backyard.
  4. Parades- Many towns have a Fourth of July parade that you can watch. This is a great activity for the whole family.
  5. Festivals- There are often festivals held on the Fourth of July weekend. These usually include food, games, music, and rides. It’s a great way to spend the day with family and friends.
  6. Fourth of July Shirts- You can show your patriotism by wearing red, white, and blue on the Fourth of July outfits! There are so many fun shirt designs to choose from. You can find some really cute ones at your local stores or online.
  7. Decorations- Get your home ready for the Fourth of July with some patriotic decorations! You can find all sorts of fun things like flags, banners, and yard signs.
  8. Food- There are so many great Fourth of July foods to enjoy! From hot dogs and hamburgers to watermelon and ice cream, there’s something for everyone. Make sure to try these patriotic waffles to start the day right!
  9. Desserts- No Fourth of July celebration is complete without a festive dessert! There are so many great recipes to choose from, like this Fourth of July cake or these star-spangled marshmallow pops.
