First Birthday Cake Smash Session On The Beach

Our sweet girl’s first birthday cake smash session is finally on the blog! We were at the beach for her actual birthday so I thought, why not have her first birthday smash cake on the beach? I am so happy with how the photos turned out!

This was such a sweet and precious day for me! Most of you know that Rebecca spent the first week of her life in the NICU fighting for her life. I feel like I spent the first few months of her life fighting to get myself back fully after going through another traumatic NICU experience with our second child (Levi also spent a week in the NICU). So, when it came time to plan her first birthday party…Josh and I decided that we didn’t want to do a full on party. We wanted to get away as a family, spend time together and just make precious memories together- without the stress of planning a party. This trip was the perfect solution! My parents were able to go with us which was amazing! We also were able to take advantage of the photo session and grab a few family photos. Such sweet memories made!
