Elegant Beauty and the Beast Themed Party

Our elegant Beauty and the Beast themed party was one of the highlights of our vow renewal week at Walt Disney World! From the elegant decorations to the violinist who set the ambiance for the evening, the entire Beauty and the Beast themed reception was more than I dreamt it would be!

Beauty and the Beast Reception

When we decided to renew our vows at Walt Disney World, I immediately knew I wanted touches of Beauty and the Beast throughout our events. It was my favorite Disney movie growing up and holds such a special place in my heart.

Being able to host a rehearsal dinner reception that was full-on Beauty and the Beast themed was a dream come true! We worked with Disney Weddings’ floral department and let me tell you: they completely knocked the decor out of the park. I was blown away when I walked into the room!

Getting Ready in the Grand Floridian Grand Suite (Princess Diana Suite)

I knew that the night before our vow renewal was going to be special. I wanted to make it extra special so we (the girls) stayed in the Grand Suite at the Grand Floridian. It was beyond magical. The history of the suite is long and my favorite piece of history: Princess Diana stayed there with her boys many years ago!

We chose to get ready for the Beauty and the Beast themed rehearsal dinner in the Grand Suite and it was such a fun experience!

Grand Floridian Whitehall Room & Patio

For our venue, we chose the Whitehall Room & Patio at the Grand Floridian. As soon as I saw photos of this venue online, I knew it would be the perfect place for our Beauty and the Beast themed party.

Beauty and the Beast Themed Decorations

One thing that I knew when going into planning this event was that if anyone knew Beauty and the Beast themed decor, it was Disney. I told the floral department I wanted an elegant themed Beauty and the Beast event with touches of the movie throughout the event, yet not ‘cheesy’ touches. They nailed this! From the beautiful red roses to the gold touches throughout, it was more than I envisioned and simply perfect.

I had given them specific inspiration for a few things such as the table settings and place cards. I also knew that I wanted a red rose at each place which was a simple yet elegant way to bring the theme together.

You can also see that the Beauty and the Beast theme carried throughout the food offerings even with the apple rose desserts and mini Beauty and the Beast themed cakes (more on those below!).

Beauty and the Beast Ice Sculpture

I know, it’s hotly debated if ice sculptures are still ‘in’ when it comes to events but I didn’t care. It was something I wanted and so we made it happen at this event. The kids loved it and it was so fun to have!

Beauty and the Beast Themed Food

I admit, this one was a bit more difficult. I wasn’t sure what to do for the menu for this event. Since it was a more elegant event, I eventually settled on food offerings that might be served at Beast’s castle. So, we opted for steak, lobster and other menu items.

These rose tarts and miniature Beauty and the Beast themed cakes were one of my favorite parts of this event! If you are hosting a Beauty and the Beast themed party or event, I highly recommend doing higher end food offerings to add to the ambiance of your event.

Beauty and the Beast Themed Entertainment

As I was choosing what entertainment to have, I knew it would be a shorter event since we had a super early wake up call the next morning (2 AM for me!). We wouldn’t need a DJ or anything but I did still want some form of entertainment. We chose a violinist and it is a choice I would make again and again. The kids loved her and it was an elegant touch for the evening.

Gosh, it has been over a year and I am finally getting around to writing this post but I still get chills when I think about our vow renewal week. It was so perfect in every single way and this Beauty and the Beast themed party was just one of the special moments we shared as a family!
