One of my favorite things about this Halloween snack is that you can easily get your kids involved in making these Disney recipes at home and in your own kitchen.
Allow your kiddos to stir the warm candy melts, place the Oreos in the middle of the molds, and, of course, help decorate!
These easy-to-make Halloween Mickey Mouse Oreo cookies are the perfect treat for both Disney lovers and any Disney Halloween party.
Disney World around Halloween time is so fun, the decorations are beautiful, and Disney’s Not-So-Scary Halloween party definitely does not disappoint. Experience Disney magic this Halloween season between mid-August and November 1st.

What do I need to make this Disney Halloween Recipe?
Candy Melts – you will need both black and white candy melts to create the shape of Mickey’s head and Minnie’s bow.
Mickey Silicone Molds – is the easiest way to get the classic Mickey shape that you’ll need to make this recipe.
Orange Fondant – is placed into a bow mold to create an orange bow to place on Minnie’s head.
Wilton Silicone Bow Mold – is how you’re able to make the bow that you’ll place on your Minnie. Don’t want to make any Minnie’s? You can leave this mold out.
Halloween Oreos – will go into the center of Mickie’s mold to give it the head shape. If you can’t find Halloween Oreos, that’s okay; you can use the regular Oreos. I also love using the double-stuffed Oreos for this recipe.
Mini Oreos – are used as the ears of the head of your Halloween Mickey Oreo Pops.
Piping Bag – a disposable piping bag is the easiest way to create the shape of webbing. You can also use a plastic sandwich bag with the end cut off but be sure not to cut too large of a hole at the end or your webs will ‘run together’.
Vegetable Shortening – mixed with your black candy melts to thin the consistency so it’s easier to pour in the mold.
How do I make this easy Disney Halloween recipe?
- Using a heat-safe dish, melt the black candy melts and 3 tbsp of shortening in the microwave for 60 seconds.
- Mix and then melt again.
- Take a Mickey silicone mold, and spoon about 3 tbsp of chocolate candy coating into the mold.
- Using a small spoon or paintbrush, coat the sides of the mold.
- Place a Halloween Oreo in the center and two mini Oreos in the ears.
- Cover the mold with about 3 more tbsp of chocolate and tap the counter a few times to release air bubbles. This also helps smooth the top coat of the chocolate.
- Place your Halloween Mickey Oreo Pops to the side.
How to Make Halloween Mickey Oreo Pops Bows
- Pinch off about 1 tbsp of orange fondant and mold into a ball.
- Press the fondant into the small bow and let it sit for a few minutes to firm up.
- Melt half of the white candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl and then spoon into the piping bag.
- Cut the tip off the piping bag and pipe a spider web detail on the face of the Mickey.
- Place the orange fondant bow in the center of one of the mickeys to create Minnie.
- Allow the chocolate to harden before enjoying!
Can I change the flavor of my Mickey Pop?
Yes! You can easily change some of the flavors by changing the Oreos that you use. You can try using seasonal flavors like pumpkin spice or candy cane or try out their classic flavors like Mint Oreos or Peanut Butter Oreos.
You can find many different flavors of Oreos at local grocery stores. You can also change up the colors of these for other holidays such as Christmas.
If you’re involved in any bake sales this fall, season pumpkin cheesecake with a caramel sauce drizzle, and chocolate cake with ice cream, and these cute cookies are easy to make and perfect for any Halloween party you are invited to!
Can I make Mickey Oreo Pops for different holidays?
Of course. All you have to really do is change the color of the candy melts and fondant that you use. Some examples of holiday color combinations are:
Valentine’s Day – One of my favorite holidays to bake for is Valentine’s Day. You can blame it on all of the reds and pinks you get to use! You can make hearts to put on both your Mickey and Minnie, but using pink and red candy melts. You can pair them with Valentine’s Day Chocolate Covered Pretzels or Valentine’s Day Conversation Heart Hot Chocolate Bombs.
St. Patrick’s Day – You can use green and gold or different colored greens to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. You can put little leprechaun hats on your molds or use shamrocks to decorate.
4th of July – Make a patriotic Mickey! Use red, white, and blue colored candy melts to create a 4th of July Mickey and Minnie. This is also a great option if you want to teach your kiddos a little more about US history; you can create and bake all in one.
Christmas – Of course, for Christmas, you would use red and green, but I would throw a little gold or silver in there as well. You can create a sweater pattern on your Mickey or get creative and turn your Mickey into an edible Christmas ornament.
Variations of These Mickey Mouse Halloween Cookies
To switch up these Halloween treats, you can make a few different changes. Instead of using white candy melts for webbing, try using black icing, melted dark chocolate, or white chocolate and drizzle it over your Mickey cookies.
The webbing may be harder to see, but they will still be delicious. You can also simply change the color of the webbing by using orange candy melts instead.
Disney-inspired Halloween Recipes like Chocolate Mickey Mouse Waffles, or Disney Christmas themed treats, like Frozen Olaf Dessert Cups are great recipes that Disney fans will love.
How do I store any leftover Halloween Mickey Oreo Pops?
I recommend keeping your leftover Halloween Mickey Oreo Pops in the fridge since we’re using candy melts. If your Oreo cookie pops get too warm, they may start to melt a little and mess up the webbing design. I recommend placing them into a Ziploc bag or a different airtight container and placing them in the fridge for up to five to seven days. I do not recommend freezing this recipe.
