Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting Asheville, North Carolina and staying at The Omni Grove Park Inn. I have dreamt of staying here since I was a little girl, here are my honest thoughts about our stay.

Please note: Although this is a sponsored post, all opinions are my own.

Asheville, NC is a place that I have visited often throughout my life. Whether just passing through as we drove from Charlotte to TN, or to visit for a quick weekend getaway, it’s a place I love!

One thing that I’ve always wanted to do when visiting Asheville is to stay at The Grove Park Inn. Each year, mom and I try to take a girl’s trip somewhere, but with all that 2020 has had in store for us, I didn’t think it would happen this year.

When we had the opportunity to head to Asheville for a quick overnight trip and stay at The Grove Park Inn, I immediately said “yes!”. It was a much needed wonderful stay and I’m here to tell you: I can’t wait to visit The Grove Park Inn again soon!

There is so much to see and do at the property, that we didn’t even see half of it during our stay. It’s truly a resort experience in the heart of Asheville.

The Room

Our room was lovely! We had a beautiful view overlooking the golf course and the gorgeous mountains. Even though it rained our first day there, the view was so beautiful. The beds were so comfortable, we spent some time in the room relaxing Thursday afternoon before dinner and it was the perfect spot to rest & recharge after a busy few months!

The Resort

Exploring the resort was one of the highlights of our trip. When you think you’ve seen it all, there is even more to explore! The grounds are beautiful. Inside, you’ll find rocking chairs overlooking the mountain views, historic exhibits, cozy fireplaces and much more! We didn’t get to explore the grounds as much as I wanted to, but I can’t wait to visit again and see even more of the beautiful Grove Park Inn!

Dining

If there is one thing I’d recommend doing at The Grove Park Inn, it’s having dinner at Sunset Terrace! Again, I go back to talking about the breathtaking views. When we were seated, the sun was setting, so gorgeous! The food was amazing. I had the Filet Mignon and I can honestly say: it was the best steak I’ve ever had! We also had breakfast the next morning at Blue Ridge and it was delicious. I highly recommend the grits, so amazing!

Overall Thoughts

We can’t talk about travel in 2020 without talking about COVID precautions. I was honestly a little nervous about traveling due to everything that is happening in our world, but upon arrival at The Grove Park Inn, my nervousness vanished. You are required to wear a mask in the public areas and The Grove Park is taking many cleaning precautions as well to keep guests safe. I also loved that even the remote in the room was wrapped in plastic to show it had been sanitized.

I can’t wait to visit The Grove Park Inn again soon, it’s such a wonderful place to getaway, relax, recharge and unplug!
