I received an Oemi Baby Bag to review in this post. All thoughts and opinions are mine.
When I was pregnant, I was one of those moms. I had my hospital bags…yes, that’s bagS –plural- packed at 30 weeks. I was ready to go. I had our diaper bag packed and ready to go to the hospital with us. When we returned home, I packed and re-packed the bag every time we went somewhere. Each time we left the house, I felt like I was lugging along the entire nursery with us. I was taking a purse, a baby bag and a ‘spare’ baby bag packed full of extra diapers and wipes. No matter what I did, I couldn’t figure out how to pack one bag for everything. Finally, 6 months later, I have finally figured out how to pack one bag and have everything I need.
What’s In My Diaper Bag:
The Bag: I love a good bag. I am not a shoe girl, or a jewelry girl, but a bag girl. I love bags that are good looking, durable and practical. This Oemi Baby Parkside bag is the perfect mom bag. I say mom bag, because I have had the ‘baby bags’. I have had several diaper bags, even though our little is only 6 month old, I have tried several bags and none of them come close to this bag. It has so many amazing features, that I don’t even know where to start! First, it comes with so many pockets. There are FOUR pockets for bottles…I haven’t found that in any baby bag so far. There are so many pockets inside, it’s amazing. When I first had our little one, I struggled with a place to put my lipstick, wallet, keys and still fit all of the baby’s necessities. I don’t have that trouble with this bag. There is enough room for his stuff and my stuff. I am so amazed at this bag, I can’t say enough good things about the Oemi Baby Parkside bag.
Diapers: This is a given. I usually carry 4-5 diapers with me at a time. I do keep a couple of extras in my car for those ‘just in case’ moments.
Wipes: I am loving Target’s wipes at the moment. I usually keep an entire pack of wipes in my bag. I use them for the obvious, but also for spills in the car, wiping my cell phone off, wiping my steering wheel off, etc.
Bottles: As you know, we use Dr. Brown’s Bottles, I usually keep 2 or 3 bottles (depending on how long we will be gone) with water already in them. This makes it easy to make a bottle on the go, without having to find clean water.
Formula: Since I’m unable to exclusively breastfeed, we formula feed. I love our formula dispenser, I can fill it with enough for 3 bottles and we are good to go. It’s easy to dispense into the bottles and fits perfectly in my bag without being too bulky.
Hand Sanitizer: Since becoming a mom, I have become more conscious of germs. I keep hand sanitizer with me everywhere I go. This little bottle actually hooks onto my bag and is easy to access no matter where we are.
Pacifier Wipes: I love these things! Our little one is in the phase where it’s fun to throw things and watch me pick them up, so these wipes are perfect to wipe pacis and even toys off after they get thrown in the floor.
Plastic Bag: My mom made a wonderful suggestion not too long ago…why not carry a plastic bag or two with me for those outfits that get wet, pacis that get thrown and not cleaned off, dirty bottles, etc. This was a genius idea! Now, I just pull the gallon plastic bag out when I get home and know that I need to wash those items.
Spare Outfit: I always keep a spare outfit for our little on in my bag. I can’t tell you how many times I have needed that outfit!
Mom Items: I’ll make this just one generic category for my items. I of course keep my wallet, keys, lipstick, compact, gum, etc. in my bag.
What do you keep in your bag? Do you carry multiple bags or just one?
