 7 Tips for Taking Toddlers to Disney World

Disney World is a great place to take toddlers. There are plenty of attractions that are perfect for little ones, and the park staff is used to dealing with small children. There are tons of memories to be made at Disney World, it just takes a little bit of planning! Here are 7 tips for taking toddlers to Disney to make your trip as smooth as possible.

1. Make a Plan

Decide what your priorities are and make a plan that fits those priorities. There is so much to see and do at Disney World, and it can be overwhelming for you and your toddler, if you try to do too much. Making a plan is important, but don’t be afraid to steer away from that plan if you need to!

2. Don’t Over-Schedule

Leave some downtime in your schedule so that your toddler can take a break when they need it. Trying to do too much can lead to meltdowns and a ruined vacation. A lot of families that have toddlers will spend the morning in the park and then go take a nap in the hotel during the afternoon. Rest is super important, even when you are at Disney World!

3. Pack Light

You don’t need to bring everything with you when you go to Disney World. Just pack the essentials and be prepared to buy anything else you might need while you’re there. The amount of things to bring to disney world with toddlers doesn’t have to be long!

4. Be Flexible

Things will inevitably go wrong when you’re traveling with a toddler. Be flexible and go with the flow to avoid stressing yourself out. Your toddler will know if you’re stressed and it will only make the situation worse.

5. Have Fun and Pack Extra Snacks

Remember that you’re on vacation! Don’t forget to enjoy yourself and make memories with your little one. It’s better to do a few things well than try and do everything at once and not have fun. 

6.Take Advantage of Lightning Lanes at Disney World

One of the best tips for taking toddlers to Disney World is to take advantage of Lightning Lanes. Of course, this isn’t a must, but it’s nice to be able to get through the lines quicker. If you can swing it, the Lightning Lanes will help you see more and do more, without waiting in line as much.

7. Rent a Stroller or Bring Your Own

If your toddler is going to be spending any time at Disney World, then you’re going to want to have a stroller. You can bring your own from home or you can rent a stroller from Disney World when you get there. Stroller renting hack: If you’re renting, make sure that you get a double stroller so that you have enough space for all of your things.
