What is your favorite time of year? Fall is my absolute From the crisp, cooler air, to the front porch decorating.
Yes, it’s true. I love getting out our fall porch decor. Our outdoor space is something I worked hard at this summer, making it a relaxing place to be, and full of curb appeal. I have decided that to get ready for fall, some new decor ideas were in place. My go to place for all things front porch is Wayfair.com
You can see our summer porch project here.
As a busy mom, I want easy ideas when changing decor over each season… They have easy to update items, like these cute throw pillows. Besides being comfortable, they are a pretty way to add to your outdoor home decor. I love decorating our porch each season, it has become a tradition that I always include Levi in. He loves helping me pick out the items we’ll use for the next season and place them ever so perfectly on the porch.
It’s so fun to add a colorful decorative pillow or two to rocking chairs, a swing and other chairs. I chose these cute throw pillows because they also helped to transition our porch from summer to fall. They are a fun way to add a bit of color to our porch this fall and will also transition well into winter!
I love how easy it is to design a color scheme, and mix and match. Fall seems to be the season that brings people together, from football games on Sunday afternoons to your annual family gathering at Thanksgiving. Make your guests free right at home with this cute “fall”sign. It is a surefire way for your porch to be welcoming. (and make sure the family dog is involved, it makes for a much cuter picture, right?)
Some other great fall front porch decor ideas:
- Add a few hay bales around your front door. Adorn with corn stalks or pumpkins
- Hang a fall wreath on your front door. It could include things like fall leaves, scarecrows, and even more pumpkins.
- Speaking of pumpkins, add more interest with different colored pumpkins. Try white, gray, or blue to mix with the customary orange.
- Bring the warm fall decor colors and add some warm string lights to the porch ceiling.
- Add apple crates as a feature point for holding other decor. Stick a few pumpkins in there, or some fun decorative squash.
- Place some fall mums in round fruit baskets, and add to either side of your stoop or stairs. Keeping them symmetrical can add some delightful curb appeal as well.
- Keep a smaller space tidy. Just a simple pretty throw pillow and blanket on a comfy chair will ready your porch for fall fun and relaxation.
