I can’t believe it is already Friday! I have been absent this week and haven’t posted at all until today…I have missed posting and hearing from all of you precious readers. Earlier this week we traveled to North Carolina to visit family and friends, and I was able to work in the office some which was nice. I love staying at home with our little one, but it is so nice to work in the office on occasion and have adult interaction with some of my favorite people. Since I haven’t posted much this week, I thought I would share with you some of my Friday Favorites.
Aldi Diapers. If you have an Aldi store near you, it’s likely that you share my love of all things Aldi. Recently, my mom discovered that Aldi has a baby section. Jackpot! She purchased a pack of their diapers and I am in love. They are hypoallergenic, have heavy duty leak protection and even better…they are pretty inexpensive.
Stackable Rings. While we were in North Carolina, my parents did as most grandparents do, and bought our little one some toys. These stackable rings are one of his favorite toys right now. He will spend hours taking them off (he hasn’t mastered putting them back on yet) and
chewing on playing with them.
Leftovers. Ya’ll. I have only cooked once this week. I am so ashamed to admit that, but it’s been one of those weeks. Between travel, work and just life, it’s been busy. I started to thaw chicken for dinner tonight and realized we have half of a lasagna left from last night and a few pieces of pizza from Wednesday night. Leftovers for dinner it is! We waste way too much food, so I am trying to be better about that…and not having to cook tonight? Winner winner, no chicken dinner (see what I did there?)
More Toys. Our little one is getting to the fun age where he likes to play with toys. It makes me sad that he is growing a little more independent, but I am also so blessed to watch him grown. Another toy courtesy of my parents, is his cell phone toy. He LOVES it. It is the perfect size for him to carry in his car seat (and is has an off button).
Free Grace and Dying Love by Susannah Spurgeon. I will be the first to admit, I am bad about not spending enough quiet time with the Lord. I have been trying to do better lately and this devotional is amazing. They usually aren’t more than 2 or 3 pages and they are amazing. The daily devotions are deep and good for my soul. I highly recommend it.
