I’m only 9 months late posting our little one’s woodland nursery, that’s not too bad, right? We love all things woodland in our house. Considering we live in the mountains of East Tennessee, I guess that’s appropriate. When we found out we were having a boy we knew exactly what nursery theme we wanted: woodland. Choosing the theme was easy, finding the right pieces to fit that theme without breaking the budget was a bit challenging. We started shopping pretty early on in my pregnancy for nursery items. This helped us to save quite a bit of money by shopping around and waiting for sales, and also put together the nursery in a way that fit our home and our ideas. I hope you love our little one’s woodland nursery as much as we do!
How gorgeous is this Lorena Canals rug? It is amazing! I spend a good amount of time with our little one here each day playing or reading. It’s our favorite place (and I may have fallen asleep there a few times). This particular rug is even reversible. We chose a Lorena Canals’ rug for a few reasons, mainly:
- Rugs are all machine-washable and fit into a standard washer and dyer (this is one of my favorite features, as moms we spend half of our lives cleaning up messes, am I right?)
- We can transition this rug to his toddler and even ‘big kid’ room, it will grow with him and be a piece that he can even takes with him when he leaves home (which will be in 60 years, right?)
- All natural dyes, handmade, eco and contain no VOCs like most carpeting and rugs (this is a huge plus for us, our little one spends a lot of time on this rug and I don’t want to expose him to any harsh chemicals)
- Proceeds from Lorena Canals support the Sakula project, and provide schooling for children in India.
