Ingredients Needed to Make the S’mores Cereal Snack Mix

  • Golden Grahams Cereal – The Golden Grahams add that touch of sweetness to this snack mix.
  • Cocoa Puffs Cereal – Yes, it’s fine to use the generic version of this cereal if you’d like!
  • Mini Marshmallows – You can’t have a s’mores mix without the addition of marshmallows.
  • Mini Chocolate Chips – Add more of a chocolatey taste to your snack mix by adding mini chocolate chips to it.

How to Make the Snack Mix

Grab a baking sheet and cover it with parchment paper.

Pour your cereal and mini marshmallows on the baking sheet, spreading them out.

Put your mini chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl and heat for 30 seconds before stirring and removing any lumps from the chocolate.

You can heat for an additional 10 seconds or so if you need it to melt a bit more.

Drizzle your melted chocolate on top of the snack mix on the baking sheet.

Place the baking sheet in the fridge or freezer and allow it to get cold before removing it, breaking it apart, and serving.

Do I have to use mini marshmallows?

Yes, the bigger marshmallows would take up too much space in this snack mix. If you only have large marshmallows at home, don’t worry. Use kitchen shears to cut them into smaller pieces!

Can I use any type of chocolate chips?

You can choose the specific type of chocolate chips that you’d like to add to the S’mores Cereal Snack Mix. While the recipe calls for milk chocolate, you can use semi-sweet or dark chocolate if you’d like.

How do I store this snack mix?

You can store the snack mix in individual sandwich bags or pour the entire contents of the baking sheet into a food storage container with an airtight lid. Once you set it in the fridge or freezer to set for several minutes, you don’t have to store it in the fridge or freezer again. It’s fine to store it on the countertop.
