“Two” Wild Birthday Party

This Post is Sponsored By Sam’s Club. As always, I only work with brands I use and love. Thank you for helping me support them.

I still cannot believe Levi is two! Since his birthday is two days after Christmas, it can be a hectic time of year for us. On top of that, it seemed like everyone that we invited to his party this year ended up sick a few days before the party. Even though we missed the ones that couldn’t attend, we still had a great time celebrating Levi with a small, intimate gathering a few days after his birthday.

With the holidays, and the chaos that comes with that, I knew that I didn’t want to plan an elaborate party this year. Not to mention, we know that no two year old really cares about a ton of decorations or ‘frills’. When I started planning his party, I knew that we would head to Sam’s Club to pick up everything we needed for his party.

Levi loves all things animals, so I decided on a “Two Wild” theme this year. Instead of gifts, we asked that everyone bring their favorite children’s book and/or make a donation to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. While we were in Sam’s Club, I realized that I had not gotten him a book for his party! Thankfully, Sam’s has a large section of books so I was able to pick up a few for him while we were there.

I decided on a light menu for the party: light snacks, chicken salad croissants, cupcakes and drinks. Food that Levi loves, but that I could also find at Sam’s Club and not have to run to a million stores or spend time prepping a ton of food. Let’s face it: when you’re pregnant and planning a birthday party, you want as easy as possible. That’s where Sam’s Club helped this momma out! Did I mention that I was able to stock up on diapers and other essentials while we were there? I noticed that their diapers were .03/per diaper less expensive than the last place I purchased them- win!

If you are planning a party, dinner or just need to stock up on essentials, I highly recommend heading over to Sam’s Club!

While many of us have been working from home or are trying to homeschool and work from home, kids around the world have been struggling to get basic needs. One INCREDIBLE way to help (socially distanced of course) is to sponsor a child!

We chose to work with All Gods Children (@allgodschildreninternational ) this year to sponsor two children from Ethiopia! We have been doing this for awhile, and I am excited to share about this organization with you.

When our sponsorship packets arrived, Levi especially was so excited. Rebecca is still a bit too young to understand, but at 4, Levi is starting to grasp what it means to help others. We are trying to teach him that because we are so blessed, we need to help others when we can. Reading through the sponsorship packet with Levi and seeing how much he already cares for our sponsored children brought tears to this mama’s eyes!

In a year that has been difficult for so many, most of us are still blessed beyond measure. This is why our family is choosing to reach out and help others as much as we can during this holiday season. Would you join us?

Just a simple $40 can pay for your sponsored child’s school fees, uniforms, school supplies, healthy meals, and start a savings fund for their futures. Plus, fun fact, 80% of sponsored kids complete a university education!
