What Are Apple Cider Bombs?
If you’ve always wanted to know how to make apple cider, these Apple Cider Bombs make the process that much easier for you! Apple Cider Bombs are a flavorful treat you can add to a cup of hot water to prepare easy and delicious apple cider with a slight touch of white chocolate and caramel in the mix.
Ingredients
Before you get started, make sure you have the ingredients needed to prepare the Apple Cider Bombs, including:
- Salted Caramel Candy Melts – You can find these candy melts at most grocery stores. If not, Amazon should have them!
- Apple Cider Instant Drink Mix – Be sure to use around three packets of the instant apple cider mix for this easy apple cider recipe.
- White Candy Melts – The white candy melts add more flavor to this recipe and are easy to find at grocery stores!
It’s that simple. You can make the Apple Cider Bombs with three ingredients.
How to Make Apple Cider Bombs
- Start by placing your ceramic dinner plate in the freezer to get cold while you begin melting your salted caramel candy melts.
- Use a spoon to add melted caramel candy to the cavity of each mold, coating the sides with the spoon before placing in the freezer for five minutes.
- Remove from the freezer, repeat the second step to add an additional layer of caramel, and put the mold back in the freezer for another five minutes.
- Heat your frying pan, remove the mold and plate from the freezer, and then unmold the caramel. You should have semi-spheres.
- Hold one sphere over the hot frying pan, turn it upside down, add the apple cider into it, and then hold the other semi-sphere to the heat for a second before attaching the two to create the Apple Cider Bomb.
- Heat your white chocolate candy melts, pour into a sandwich bag, snip the top of the bag off, and drizzle it on top of each bomb.
Do I have to use white chocolate candy melts?
No. While white candy melts taste good with these Apple Cider Bombs, you can use milk chocolate, dark chocolate, or any other flavor you’d like to use. You can also avoid adding chocolate on top of these bombs if you don’t want to go through the hassle of drizzling it on top!
Can I use homemade apple cider mix?
Absolutely. If you don’t want to use a packet of apple cider mix in your Apple Cider Bombs, feel free to prepare a homemade version that you can add to each of your caramel spheres before you connect them.
