Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray 2 9-inch round cake pans with non-stick cooking spray and line the bottom of each pan with a circle of parchment paper.
Cook 1 pound of bacon
(1/2 for the cake and ½ for the frosting), until crispy, using your favorite bacon cooking method. Drain grease, patting dry with paper towels.
