If you have another type of pressure cooker, this recipe will work great in that, too.

Can I grill the BBQ chicken legs?

Absolutely! Instead of placing them on the broiler to finish, add the chicken to a hot grill and brush proceed with step 6.

Ingredients

– 2 to 4 pounds chicken leg – Salt and pepper – 2 cups barbecue sauce (your favorite), divided – Water, minimum required for your pressure cooker

Sprinkle chicken legs with salt and pepper, if desired.

Toss chicken legs with 1 cup barbecue sauce to coat.

Pour water into the pressure cooker liner and place the trivet inside. Put the chicken on top of the trivet.

Close the pressure cooker and set the value to sealing. Set the pressure cooker to manual or pressure cook on high for 12 to 15 minutes depending on the amount of chicken.

Preheat the oven broiler.  Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil (for easier clean up) and spray with non-stick cooking spray.

Remove the chicken legs from the pressure cooker and place on baking sheet.

Brush with additional barbecue sauce. Place under broiler and cook for 3 to 5 minutes.

Turn the chicken and brush with sauce again. Cook another 3 to 5 minutes or until barbecue sauce caramelizes.
