TTC As a Busy Work At Home Mom

Thank you Clearblue® for sponsoring this post. The new Clearblue® Connected Ovulation Test System is now available at major retailers across the U.S. such as Walmart, Target, Amazon and Meijer. Visit a store near you to try it!.

Today, I’m talking about a very personal topic: our journey to conceive. I know this topic is difficult for so many parents, and one that is a long journey. I am a firm believer that talking about this more will help more parents not feel so alone in what is often a long and difficult journey.

When we conceived Levi, we were blessed that it wasn’t a long journey. I was pregnant within three months of us starting to try. When we found out we were pregnant with him I was ecstatic, but also somewhat shocked. I thought that the journey for us would be a long one. 9 months later, we had our precious baby boy here! It’s hard to believe that in just a few short weeks he will be two years old.

For the past year or so, we have been discussing having “number two”. For the past 9 months or so, we have been TTC number two! It has not been an easy journey. I am a busy work at home mom and my husband is busy at his job outside of the home as well. With a toddler and trying to spend time together as a family in the evenings, it’s difficult to find time to focus on TTC with a toddler! When we realized that we truly wanted to try for number two, we decided that we needed to get serious and implement a few things that allow us to focus on growing our family.

First, we are working on spending more time together as a couple. We love spending time together as a family, but I’m a firm believer that all parents need date night and time to focus on themselves from time to time. In April, we even headed to Florida for a week (alone!) for our 5 year anniversary! Allowing time to connect as a couple and spend time together is a great way to take the pressure off of TTC when you’re as busy as we are.

Secondly, we have started using the Clearblue® Connected Ovulation Test System. This  made all the difference  and helped relieve some stress! I am not one to track my cycle or mark a calendar each month, but the Clearblue® Connected Ovulation Test System does all of that for me! This isn’t just any ovulation test system; it’s connected to an app on my phone maximizing chances of getting pregnant in a way like never before!  I am almost always on or near my phone, so having Clearblue on my side, tracking for me has been a huge load off of my shoulders. My cycle has never been fully regular, and instead of just ‘guessing’ like some apps and products do, the Clearblue® Connected Ovulation Test System accurately identifies my personal fertile days using my hormone data.

If you are a busy mom and are TTC, I highly recommend the Clearblue® Connected Ovulation Test System. With personal reminders when to test, the app  really has taken the pressure off of our journey TTC number two! I also have the best news to share with you today: I am PREGNANT with number two! Thanks to the Clearblue® Connected Ovulation Test System, we are excited to share this news with you and I can’t wait to share my entire pregnancy journey with you!

Today's new blog post is an important one. Today's new blog post is an important one.

While many of us have been working from home or are trying to homeschool and work from home, kids around the world have been struggling to get basic needs. One INCREDIBLE way to help (socially distanced of course) is to sponsor a child!

We chose to work with All Gods Children (@allgodschildreninternational ) this year to sponsor two children from Ethiopia! We have been doing this for awhile, and I am excited to share about this organization with you.

When our sponsorship packets arrived, Levi especially was so excited. Rebecca is still a bit too young to understand, but at 4, Levi is starting to grasp what it means to help others. We are trying to teach him that because we are so blessed, we need to help others when we can. Reading through the sponsorship packet with Levi and seeing how much he already cares for our sponsored children brought tears to this mama’s eyes!

In a year that has been difficult for so many, most of us are still blessed beyond measure. This is why our family is choosing to reach out and help others as much as we can during this holiday season. Would you join us?

Just a simple $40 can pay for your sponsored child’s school fees, uniforms, school supplies, healthy meals, and start a savings fund for their futures. Plus, fun fact, 80% of sponsored kids complete a university education!

Head to the link in my bio to find out more!
