Last year, we traveled a LOT. Traveling with a toddler is no small feat – you have to take a ton of stuff, and if you’re like me, you tend to over pack. Even though traveling with young children can be rough and stressful sometimes, it is so worth it. We have gotten to make so many memories with our little guy on the trips we’ve taken since he was born and I can’t wait to make even more memories once our little girl arrives in June! Since we’ve traveled a lot since Levi was an infant, I feel like I have a good handle on what we need (and what’s not really necessary to take along). Below are some of my top recommended travel necessities for families with young children:
Chicco Fit2 2-Year Rear-Facing Infant & Toddler Car Seat
This car seat is not only adorable, but it’s perfect for traveling with a young family. Easily converting from an infant carrier to a toddler car seat, the Chicco Fit2 is the #1 car seat on my list!
Chicco Fit2 Rear Facing Infant & Toddler Car Seat Base
When we travel, we are usually visiting family. That means, that once we arrive at our destination, we often times move car seats between vehicles. Having an additional base for your Chicco Fit2 is a must – it makes moving the seat between vehicles so much easier!
Chicco 360 Hook On Chair
As you probably know by now, I’m a germaphobe. The thought of putting a young child in a hi chair that has been used by other children (especially during cold and flu season) makes me cringe. This hook on chair is perfect when you are traveling and eating out. It’s easy to carry, pack and use – plus, the fact that your child has their own tray and chair that other children haven’t used is a huge plus in this mom’s book!
Chicco LullaGo Deluxe Bassinet
Not only is this a perfect bassinet for home, it’s great for travel as well! Easily foldable and even coming with a storage bag, the bassinet provides a safe and comfortable place for baby to sleep. I plan to use ours in our room once Rebecca is born, it makes those nighttime feedings so much easier!
