I haven’t had a chance to recap our Thanksgiving, because it’s been so crazy busy here lately! We had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and I can’t believe that it’s already over. The week of Thanksgiving was a whirlwind for us. You may not know this about me, but I enjoy deer hunting. I’m not an avid hunter by any means, but I enjoy going out a few times each year with my dad and brother and spending some time in the woods. This year was no different and I actually spent a few good mornings and afternoons in the woods the weekend before Thanksgiving. It was a blast! I love spending time with the guys in my family, it’s a fun bonding time.

Always enjoy time with my dad
The day before Thanksgiving, I was all set to wake up and start baking pies and prepping for Thanksgiving. As always, life had other plans. I ended up waking up sick the day before Thanksgiving. Like, barely get out of bed sick. It was horrible! I spent most of the day in bed and my sweet mama even came over to watch our little one so I could get some rest.
I did survive though and was able to get up on Thanksgiving morning, cook lunch and enjoy some time with everyone. We had a wonderful lunch and it was perfect!
This year, I did add a little fun gift to our table for our guests. These adorable candles from the Dancing Wick were the perfect addition to our Thanksgiving table. Monika, the shop owner is so sweet and the candles smell AMAZING! I will certainly be ordering more candles from the Dancing Wick for future events we host at our house.
This was also our little one’s first Thanksgiving! How awesome? He enjoyed the meal almost as much as we did and even took a long nap that afternoon while we napped. And his adorable outfit (with fancy tie)? From CuddleSleepDream on Etsy, it’s so cute! It even comes with a tie for Halloween and Christmas!
We did do some shopping on Thanksgiving afternoon and Black Friday, and I may have bought…everything. It was a blast though and a great way to spend time with the girls (and my brother)!

Sounds like you had a fun holiday. Holidays can be stressful on our end since our family lives in different parts of the state, but we always make it work
