Ya’ll, we had the best time this past weekend in Savannah, Georgia and Tybee Island, Georgia. We decided a couple of weeks ago it would be fun to take a quick weekend trip with my parents. After checking out a few places, we decided on Savannah. My mom and I had been once before, several years back, but we didn’t get to explore much while we were there. This time, we knew that we wanted to go to the beach, so we did just that!
Savannah is a 6 hour drive from our house. I was dreading the drive with an infant, so we ended up renting a minivan. While I loved the space in the van and the convenience of it, I decided I am still a SUV mom, at least for the time being. We arrived in Savannah around 10 PM Friday evening, exhausted from the trip…only to find that the temporary tag on our rental van had blown off somewhere on I-95. Why in the world would they not secure the tag better? Anyways, after 2 hours on the phone with the rental car company and having to go pick another tag up on Saturday, all was well.
Saturday morning we woke up bright and early and had breakfast at our hotel and headed off to Tybee Island! The drive was a beautiful drive down to the beach and Tybee Island~so amazing! I am a sucker for a good little beach town and Tybee Island did not disappoint!
My dad and husband fished, while mom and I spent the morning with the little one on the beach. It was his first time on the beach and man, did he love it! He slept like a champ in his little beach tent, I wish he napped like that everyday!
Packing for our first long road trip and beach trip with an infant was challenging. I had no idea what to bring, and in my husband’s words, I just decided to bring the entire house.
I struggled with finding a bag that was just the right size to put everything in, while not being too heavy for me to carry myself, and something that wouldn’t get destroyed if it were to get wet. I found the perfect bag ya’ll, it’s from Logan & Lenora . Their Daytripper Wet + Dry Tote is amazing. See that big sheet in the photo below? It fit in the bag! It was perfect to stuff Levi’s wet clothes in after we came in from the beach and I didn’t worry for one moment that they would mildew before we made it home Sunday evening. This bag is truly a MUST HAVE for moms! There are so many uses for it. The prints are adorable, but still mature enough that you can use this bag even after your littles have gotten older. Go get one today…I promise, you won’t be sorry!

I received complimentary products from Logan & Lenora in exchange for this review. All views and opinions are my own and in my own words.
We spent half of the day on the beach, but by lunch time it was blistering hot and getting crowded. So, we opted to do some sightseeing, eat some delicious BBQ and relax a bit. That evening, we ate some amazing seafood and did a little shopping.
Sunday morning, my dad and husband got up bright and early and went fishing on the pier at Tybee Island again, while mom and I slept in late with the little one. We all met at the Tybee Island Marine Center and Levi loved it! He loved looking at all of the fish and turtles. Needless to say, we will be making an aquarium trip very soon.
We had a wonderful time and packed in a lot for just two days. It was such a fun trip with my parents and I am so glad they were there to share in Levi’s first beach trip with us!
