Spring is officially here! Well, sort of. If your weather is anything like ours here in East Tennessee, it has been a bit bipolar lately. We had snow yesterday and the high was in the mid-60’s today. Crazy! With warmer temperatures though, comes the itch to do a bit of spring cleaning. With a toddler and two dogs, our house seems to always need a bit of TLC. I’ve found a few tips that have helped make cleaning a breeze in our house and I hope they are helpful to you!
Make a Schedule – I live by my Google calendar. I use it for everything. I have tried paper planners, but my Google calendar is just the easiest. I don’t always carry a paper planner with me, but I almost always have my phone within reach so I can check my calendar. Adding cleaning tasks to your calendar is a great way to make cleaning a breeze. It also is a great way to keep track of those tasks (such as cleaning windows, wiping down base boards, etc.) that you don’t do that often but still need to be done every several weeks or so.
Keep Supplies Handy – I know that some people use shower caddies or totes to carry their cleaning supplies from room to room. I’ve found that it’s easy to just store what products I need in each room when it comes to sponges and sprays. This may cost a bit more up front, but having the supplies in the room is an easy way to save time from dragging the supplies back and forth.

Love Your Cleaning Supplies – I know this is a weird one, but I love a good cleaning product. One of my latest favorite lines of cleaning supplies is the Clorox® ScentivaTM Pacific Breeze and Coconut products. Personally, I love all things coconut and this line of products smells amazing. Feeling like you are in a tropical paradise when cleaning your bathroom is a nice way to escape (hey- as moms, we’ll take what we can get, am I right?). Not only does this line kill 99.9% of bacteria and viruses, it also cuts through tough stains (we all know that little boys can leave plenty of those!).
I found this line at our local Target, and I made sure to stock up before everyone else learned my secret about this awesome line of products!
