Being a mom has surprised and challenged me in so many ways. I feel like I have learned so much about myself in the past 18 months, more than I can really put into words. Yes, I’ve learned the big lessons like: keeping him alive, remembering to close the door to the stairs and how to use outlet covers. But, there are other lessons that I’ve learned, especially the past few months. They may seem like simple lessons, but they are “big” lessons in my opinion.
